Just saw on the main page of the lounge that Rusty1953 has some health issues!

I've ALWAYS enjoyed his posts!

I'll go for a lambswool duster. Feathers break too easily.

Yeah. I'm still up. (Bright idea to swig tea with dinner.)
And, no, I didn't take any pictures today.
Of the garden anyways.
I did take some of two S&W 1911's at the LGS.
Considering the older of the two. JRE2sumpthin', 2005 vintage. 108282. Matte stainless. Rubber grips.
One issue. I'm not fond of rear sights of an unadjustable nature.
Dang dovetail's a proprietary size too, so aftermarket fittment's phhhht.
Which I also read in another thread on this here forum.
I likes it, and wonder if another as in as fab condition, with adj. aft sights, will put itself in my path.

Enough pondering and cogitation. Bedtime.

Just got back from my BIL's campsite, they have a nice spot along a river.
Very relaxing area. The granddaughter spent some time in the river which for the most part is only 4' deep. They actually have to small sized ferry boats operating that part of the river but not running at this time due to low water? ....No rain!
Had some dinner and an ice cream for dessert before heading home!
The important part, the granddaughter had a great time, she goes home tomorrow!

Good morning all. It's a hot and steamy Sunday in Houston and I need to walk off those extra few thousand calories of Mexican food I ate yesterday. I get the feeling that the flightless birds are planning something. Be extra vigilant today. Each of you have a great day!

Morning all. It's 48 here this morning. I'm waiting for my wife to wake up so we can go fishing for a little while. My lab will wake her soon. The dog will wake my wife up on weekends so we can go do something. It knows if it gets light out and my wife is still in bed it's not a work day.
I'm running away from home camping/fishing for a couple weeks on Tuesday. My wife has the following week off and I always go a few days early to get a good campsite. The sites are first come, first served so it's good to go during the week when most poor souls are working.
