John Galt was a character in an Ayn Rand book, The Fountainhead. He is also a member of this Forum. Henry Pelham is......lost.

Yes on John Galt.

Henry Pelham was the model for Boy with Squirrel painting featured earlier in this thread.

Drift on!!

Has anybody been to a barber who doesn't talk the whole time he's cutting your hair

Not many real barbershops around my part of the city, so I go to one of the salon chains. Most of the girls who cut my hair are a minimum of fifty years younger than I am. They have no idea what to say to a man my age. :)

Ahhhhhhhh......!

I drifted back to my private shooting range about an hour ago. Put 26 rounds thru my 642 and 30 thru my (mumble, mumble)sp_101. Swinging steel targets. Not a whole lot of shooting, but relaxing. Ahhhhhhhh......:D

Oh, NO! She's back! That appallingly perky bimbo who goes around asking groups of people, "Anyone have occasional constipation, diarrhea, gas, bloating, scabies, green scales on the ears or a compulsion to steal lawn gnomes?"

I detest perkiness except in rare anatomical applications of the term. But having some airhead ask about my gastrointestinal misadventures in a perky tone and wearing a smile that bespeaks sadism is a bit damn much.

Oh...sorry...carry on.

Enjoy this art from Caravaggio. The head of Goliath is a self-portrait.

Just pretend this is witty.

Drifting along at a good clip here today. Hope everyone has a good Friday . I tip my lady barber well so she won't cut too much of my hair! She likes it short and if I am not paying attention I get a job that looks like one of Snubby's tribe members got after me! She fixes me up with some Vietnamese food every so often so I keep coming back.

One of my favorite shirts.

I got it from an Indian fellow that was running a vendor table at a local fair.

Since July 4th of 2014, I have won three separate drawings for a CZ P09, a brick of .22 lr, and just this week, 100 rounds of whatever caliber ammo I choose. I do not play the lottery. I fully expect Publishers Clearinghouse to knock on my door. When I win, I am inviting the entire forum to drift over to my new house...complete with shooting range...for a big BBQ...ammo on the house. Enjoy the ribs, guys...and gals.
