OK, in the interest of culture and intellectual curiosity, I DRIFT in with 2 questions:

Who is John Galt?

Where is Henry Pelham?

Drift on!

There are really a lot of dumb crooks out there! Just watched surveillance video of a local pawn shop burglary on the news, amazing how fast they caught him. Drifting along here but need opinions on best rifle barrel to purchase, thinking 6.5 creedemore(spelling?).

Creedmoor by Surgeon Rifles. Check out PrecisionRifleBlog.com - lots of great info there. Good luck with it.

PS: Thank goodness many crooks are dumb. The smart ones are often extremely dangerous.

Good morning! :)

Drift is really going this morning, More speedy drifting up & down the interstate a little later today for me. Hopefully the high winds are supposed to take a break today.

Yesterday's tinder dry conditions and high winds ended up with a large fire in our largest area of public state hunting and conservation ground. (and shooting range) Thankfully a brief but heavy rain helped get it under control. Haven't heard the total acres burned but the smoke was visible for miles. Area is home to lots of deer and pheasants. Sad day.:(

Calling on snubbyfan, vonn, jell-dog, pawngal, boatme99, Rusty1953, loknload, skrazo, shouldazagged, bigride, timjake, rags, GaryS, raljr1, timn8er, Isis1200L and all DRIFTER regulars to climb the peak to 8400 today!!
Speaking of climbing the peak, I went for a hike up a mountain trail yesterday. Took over an hour and a half but I made it up to the peak, down the other side, then turned around and went back up and over. Nearly 400 feet in elevation, twice, and about 4 miles.
Not too bad for someone's that's supposed to be in an electric scooty chair.
Today's supposed to be even nicer than yesterday and my wife got off work at 9AM. We're going to go for a nice long hike today.

Has anybody been to a barber who doesn't talk the whole time he's cutting your hair
Last time I got a haircut was in '93. I was going to a job interview and I wanted a nice short, professional looking haircut.
I went to a North Arlington Virginia barber shop. It looked like a proper old fashioned barber shop with a barber pole out front. What better place to get a good old fashioned haircut?
I wouldn't have minded the barber talking if it was in english.
I ended up with a mullet. Still got the job.
I decided right then and there that I'm of American Indian descent. If people don't like my long hair, that's between them and their grey matter.

John Galt was a character in an Ayn Rand book, The Fountainhead. He is also a member of this Forum. Henry Pelham is......lost.
