Opera for fun

After some weighty work Mozart decided that he wanted to write an opera just for fun. It's called "The Magic Flute".

In this scene, Papageno, a trapper of birds who lives in the woods is looking for someone to love. He blows his pipes three times. When no one appears, he decides to kill himself. Three spirits appear and tell him to ring the magic bells, which he does. A girl appears, dressed also in feathers. Her name is Papagena. They are so excited to see each other that all they can say at first is:

"Pa....pa, pa, pa...pa, pa..."

They then sing about their life together and how they are going to have lots of children. Papageno wants little boy Papagenos but Papagena wants little girl Papagenas. The duet goes for about 5 minutes into this video.

In this scene the Queen of the Night is furious, telling Tamino that if he can rescue her kidnapped daughter, Pamina, she will be his.

Hey-hey & Howdy, Drifters!
In yesterday's quest for 2014's missing gifties, I found...
AMMO-NISHUNS!
.22
A whole 500 rounds of CCI Mini-mags. Merry Christmas to me!
Why it was where it was, I dunno. It twas camo-flah-geed.
In a plain paper bag. I picked the bag up and it was heavy.
And had a familiar rattle to it.

I also found the John Deere tractor ornament I bought, hmmmm, lemme see. How long ago?
It was a couple years before Drifter moved in. No. More than a couple.
Yeah. This is bad.
Do I even wanna admit it? 14 years?!?!?
Jeeze!!!
Mebbee the Universe put it where I could find it so I'd get in touch with the person it was meant for.

Now if I could have as much luck finding the mates for my five partner-less socks.
Not to mention at least four of the gifts I bought THIS year.

Time for bed. Perhaps my dreams will lead me to the errant presents.
Or to the alternate universe where my socks are.
Night-night, Drifters!
