Another hazard of aging. My fanny pack, being worn in front for a cross draw, hung up on the steering wheel when I tried to dismount from the Mobility Ego. Fortunately, it did not drop a S&W on the ground and embarrass me no end in Publix.

I took a rest day and did not do a formal workout walk this morning, but the pedometer app on my moderately intelligent phone indicates I walked three miles today running errands. Good enough excuse for me to declare a Friday afternoon Beer Time!

Today's selection is from Abita Brewing located a bit north of New Orleans I believe. It is their seasonal Mardi Gras Bock. The beer pours a clear amber color with a moderate head which dissipates quickly. It has a nice light clean malt flavor and a hint of hops. It is not as heavy as some Bocks and nowhere near as light as Shiner Bock. The Abita product has a decent mouth feel and does not come across watery. With an ABV of 6.5% this is a real deal packs a punch Bock beer. A very competent beer. I'd buy it and drink it again.

Cheers!
