Annoyed at thread drift

I must confess that I do most of my drifting on Tapatalk and in public so I don't get the full effect of all of the music and videos.. I do however need an intervention when it comes to guns...I have bought too many in the last two years and I can't stop looking...I have 14 on my watch list on GB right now.....I'd ask for help but with this group I'd only get encoragement....

My advice sir, is buy two Smiths and call me in the morning.

I'm not a doctor but i did stay in a Holiday Express once.

I'm the same way if that's any consolation. Always "wanting"
the next one.
It's worse than drugs i tell ya'.:D

Today is Ruthie's birthday. She is off tomorrow so we plan on punching some holes in paper followed by a family dinner.

Who knows, if she plays her cards right, I'll fall asleep before she does.

Rusty you tell Ruthie Happy Birthday from all us here
on the drift. Also thank her for letting you "come out
and Play" with us nuts.:D

XD .45? Ruger SA .45LC? Marlin 30-30 lever action? What did I buy?

Of course, a Colt Detective snub nose .38. Definitely not mint so I can carry the little six shooter without worrying about mucking up a pristine safe queen.

I'm so unpredictable. I don't even know what I'm doing.

Hey, Snubby...got a holster for a snubby?

Since it looks like anything goes in this thread, I want to ask a stupid question. What is the meaning of TALO? I presume it is an acronym used in a description of guns for sale.
Per their website:

"TALO is a wholesale buying cooperative that was started in 1965 by fishing and hunting wholesalers in Texas, Arkansas, Louisiana,Oklahoma. TALO commissions limited editions of firearms from Smith & Wesson, Colt, Glock, Ruger, and North American Arms and distributes them to stocking sporting goods dealers across the US.  Collectors should contact their local dealer and ask them to order a special edition from a TALO wholesaler."

So TALO stands for:
Texas
Arkansas
Louisiana
Oklahoma

There ya' go.

Yeah but unfortunately not for a Colt.

Monday a friend, a man I knew for over sixty years, died at 86. He was the founder and, for 58 years, the director of a concert choir in which I sang from ages 16 to 20. My late brother and I anchored the bass section for much of that time (we could both hit notes only elephants and seismographs could hear), and he and his wife stayed in the group for years after I moved on. Tomorrow I'll attend Dave's funeral, with many thoughts about my years under his direction, and many memories of my brother.

I've always loved this song; but today is the first time since my big old little brother Gerry died, a year and a half ago, that I've been able to listen to it. Gerry loved it too.

So this is for that wonderful mentor Dave Jones, and for Gerry.
