Good evening drifters. It's 82 degrees in the desert this evening and it feels good. The drift today has been superb with music, funny comments and even pictures and talk about, wait for it............GUNS. Who would have thought that a topic on guns would show up on the drift. I love the drift.

No hordes were seen in the desert today and I think it is because they were enjoying the nice weather. Even the evil hordes appreciate good weather.

Good morning all. The pressure of all of next week's big day's has me down. Monday is Memorial Day, Wednesday is both the first day of Hurricane Season and Global Running Day, then Friday is National Donut Day. What to do?... Buy toilet paper! Good morning members of the Drift! Hope everyone has a good day today! News story this morning says Americans aren't saving enough. Reported that older workers are only making 60% of what younger workers are making. Hard to save money when you don't have any coming in. We really need our leaders to get to work on getting our economy back in working order long term. New NRA magazine "Shooting Illustrated" sounds like it may of interest,starts May 1. Going to check it out. Drift on !

Good morning everyone!
Pleasant 64 ° here. Thunderstorm went through early this morning but the noise and flash stayed to the north. We got a pleasant shower or two. Got fairly oppressive with humidity and some heat yesterday afternoon and evening, so you could feel it coming. Thunderstorms in the forecast through at least next Monday, so outdoors means keeping an eye to the south and west!
Skeptic, best of luck for your wife and her medical visits. Hope your RV concerns come to a good conclusion and you get on the road for pleasant travels!

Watermelon...definitely watermelon. I bought a good one last week, wasn't cheap, but definitely worth it. That puppy was so big I could barely lift it. That may sound impressive, but it's more an indication of my health than the size of the melon.

The art of picking a good watermelon is a gift! My Grandfather was a produce wholesaler for many years and he could tell when they were at the peak for eating. Sadly I didn't learn from him when I had the chance.
