Robert, I have both 36's and 37's and they are great handguns! ;) I think I paid about $400. for my nickel 36 but that was several years ago, so one in good shape today for $500. not bad. How new is it and is it rated for Plus P ammunition?
I use a 36 Snubby for CCW and my first one was a 3" 37 which I still have.
If you like it go for it! ;)
Don't know about the age, I'll check it. I have a model 60 and a 642...but I like the shiny pistols...also looking at a nickel Terrier for about the same money....decisions decisions....

Perhaps we are going about this Emu eradication thing the
wrong way.
I wonder if we could train them to attack Illegals smuggling
drugs?
The guy in Jurassic World trained Dinosaurs to hunt
so why can't we train an Emu?

Roadtrash and Kwelske.....See if ya'll can get a few of them
Emu roped and put up in a corral.
I'll start checking the Yellow Pages for an Emu whisperer.

Chuck

It's a battle of species, to emus all humans are illegal and the enemy! No way should we train emu to be effective predators!

Good evening! I had to get My Lady Wife up at 0630 and then shower and head for the Podiatrist and gym. Where else can a guy my age get the physical attentions of two beautiful young women simultaneously?
Then I hit Planet Fitness (TM) I was much more successful today than Tuesday. I suspect some skinny little girl reset the bands on the stationary bike, because I couldn't get my feet straight.
Geoff
Who notes first world problems.

Trying to get my refrigerator in the Motorhome to keep working. Keeps tripping the GFI breaker in the garage so that will be the first thing I change!

GFIs do get old. Is it 15AMP or 20AMP circuit?

Geoff
Who hasn't tried his refrigerator on a 15AMP circuit, just the fan, AC is strictly a no-no.

Oh frabjous day, calloo, callay...

Saw a vascular surgeon today for leg problems. Got good news and bad news.

The good news is that I have 80% circulation in my left leg, the one that doesn't hurt as much.

Bad news is that in addition to sciatica I have only 45% circulation in the right leg; my femoral artery pulses on both sides are what he called "a rumble" rather than normal pulse; and my carotid pulses aren't "bad" but aren't normal.

Angiogram and, if feasible, stenting will be scheduled, along with ultrasound of the carotids. If stents won't help, more extensive surgery will be on the menu.

Oh well, such is life in the Golden Years. At least I know now why my feet are always cold. :D

I dunno about where youze guys is, but the borogoves were awfully mimsy 'round here today.
I think it was because it was soooo humid.
I didn't turn the airconditioner on in the truck on my way to my dentist's.
Since I was only doin' 5 to 25 mph on my way home, I couldn't do the 260 air.
You know.
Open two windows, go 60 miles an hour.

I'm thinkin' I'm a little mimsy meeself.

Nothin' a nice cold adult beverage couldn't take care of.
Porter.
I know, I know, Porter's for Winter. But I drinks Porter year 'round.

Bad Storms Heading Our Way!

Just checked the radar and a big wide red line is headed towards us. As long as the electricity isn't affected. I'm ok with it? Good time to take a much needed nap. Hard rain makes me sleep like a tired puppy.

Starting to hear thunder, rumbling off in the distance. Looks like it's currently about 45 minutes away? Sever weather warnings till 11:30 pm.

WISH US LUCK!

Looks like K.C. is getting pounded by the storm today. Tornado alerts and sightings down in Okalahoma , Kansas, and points to the N.E. Midwest. Sounds like tomorrow and maybe Sat. will be ugly for the midwest and points east. Warm moist air from the gulf, colder dryer air from the north, spring is here!
Everybody everywhere be careful and alert!

Homer's diary entry for today is brief. Back to the USS Yolo this date 1945, Okinawa.

May 26, 1945

As no GQ developed, last night the crew worked until 0300, when the reefer secured. Because of the rough deteriorating weather and the torrential rain along with a heavy swell and rising wind, I asked Mr. Belmont to let out more cable. This is probably the heaviest blow we have had while anchored by the stern. I stayed up all night checking on the cable in particular. During the morning Mr. Davis and I discussed the supply situation in great detail, especially loading. One boom on each side of the ship is desperately needed. Of course loading in bad weather is dif¬ficult. By mid afternoon Yolo moved closer to the beach, about two miles from the reefer. The time consuming part in loading the provisions was placing the nets of supplies in LCMs and LCVPs and transporting them to Yolo.

At 0700 the battleship Missouri arrived with Admiral W. F. Halsey who had relieved Spruance. Yolo is now a Third Fleet ship. The designators change with the new admiral.
