Just got back from a warm sunny day hike in the mountains.

That's a tall order, I've never been to New Hampshire. I believe the Smuttynose Brewery is from somewhere up there and I've seen a couple of thier brews in stores here in Houston. Ask a local what they would recommend. Pilsners and wheat beers are good this time of year, but I never turn down a stout or strong ale. I'm still working on finds for National Donut Day...

Good Afternoon
Just got back from taking our Grandson to the Orthodontist.
It looked like a Senior Citizens center, only with kids. I guess it's the Grand Parents job to get the kids to and from the Dentist?
I haven't seen so many old people, since I last visited a nursing home! Saw so many canes and walkers, I thought I was in a rehabilitation center? It smelled like a mixture of moth balls and turpentine? But, I guess my old butt fit right in!

Good afternoon drifters, it's 103 in the desert today and the sun is shining. Been listening to the music and reading the funnies and stuff you folks have posted and as usual it's all good.
No hordes have been spotted and as I said before I think they have gone north to escape the heat of the desert. I see a lot of post here and all over the net about alligators so maybe they will join the hordes but we here in the desert will be spared their attack because we don't have enough water for them to swim in. With all the flooding in Houston you folks better watch out for stray gators and snakes driven from the low lying areas.

Actually, I believe I saw a coyote in Briargrove this morning. It moved silently and did not come to check me out like a dog would. It sure was not a cat. I've hunted throughout Texas and have had enough encounters with coyotes to know, even if my eyes are old and it was still dark.
