Had a full but wonderful day with the two grandsons.
First grandmaw wanted to hit a few yard sales close by
so we jump in to the Crown Vic and off we go.
Hit three sales and while grandmaw found her usual good
buys on some trinkets etc... I cold not locate the guy wanting
to sell his Registered Magnum for 200 bucks or the guy who
wants 10 bucks for the old cigar box full of Coke grips.
We hit Arbys and fed the kids, then off to the local Water
Park. At two bucks a head it is a great value.
(Snubby you got something there with the pool therapy).
Thoroughly enjoyed myself, as did the boys and grandmaw
swimming and soaking up the rays for a couple of hours.
Back home for some hamburgers cooked out on the grill.
Then i had two boys who were properly tuckered out and ready
to hit the shucks.
The key to having the kids for a weekend is just that.
Wear em' out early, and at night grandmaw and I can
have some peace and quiet.
Hope you all have a wonderful weekend.

Up late the other night as usual, (i worked 37 years on seconds).
Perusing the tube for a movie to watch and i see the SyFy channel
has a potential Oscar winner on at the time.
Mega Shark vs. Crocosaurus.......Starring....wait for it........
Jaleel White !!!

You combine an adult Steve Urkel with a giant Shark and a 50 foot
Crocodile and the academy will surely take notice right??

It's just not fair to the rest of the movie industry.

Good morning all. The forecast here in Houston is hot and humid with a good chance of rain until the third week in September. Now that we all know that, the only weather forecasts to watch are the tropical storm reports. It's time for me to head out into the steamy predawn darkness in search of... well I really just walk and keep an eye out for anything strange. Adios for now. Each of you have a great day!

Good stuff overnight,I conked early last night, the heat has been kicking me in the backside! NASCAR today! Hope it is a good race. Chores this morning so I gotta get going. Drift on!

Right there with you. Wife wants to go to the pool at the Y, I just cant see me in the sun unless I have to. Shorthanded week with a new guy in training made for a less than easy week.
Plenty left in the tank, just don't feel like burning it off.

I've been puttering this morning getting fishing stuff back in the boat. Test run yesterday was ok. We're way off on the prop pitch so I can't open it up but at least I'm back on the water. Where I bought the new motor is a very small place so he has to order a different prop instead of having it in stock. Pretty good rain this morning. It's been dry here for the last 2 or 3 weeks. We've had a couple little showers but not enough to do any good.

Anybody still take a daily paper delivered to their home?

Chuck

I actually dropped home delivery of the Houston Chronicle in 1994 in order to offset and justify the $14 per month I started paying for my Prodigy online account. At the time I was paying $10 per month for the paper. I had no idea that most everyone else would follow my lead.

Good morning everyone! It's a beautiful Sunday morning here at the retirement village campground! ;)
Sitting back with my morning coffee and relaxing! ;) Soon we're going to have to get some breakfast. :)
Not too much exciting is happening right now all is quiet and no Emus or Penguins have been sighted! :D

Hope everyone has a pleasant Sunday! ;)

You know, of course, it's when you can't see them that you're in the most danger, right? Like the old African saying has it, You Never See The Penguin That Kills You......wait a minute, that was leopards...Still, I think the same principle applies...

Yeah.... right..... do nothing day. Wife went to the pool and I wandered looking for something to do. Hit 90 deg. by 1000 with just a hint of a sea breeze beginning. I killed some weeds, rinsed some grime off of the outside furniture, work bench and such and noticed I wasn't sweating. Walked around a corner to solve the problem with a Yuengling (1030, me no care) and felt a stick in the arch of my right foot. Took a peek and saw something shiny and brown and thought Bud bottle sliver... some of those Red Soldiers die hard... plucked it and saw a tiny gut string. Stepped on a bee. Lit up for a few minutes then faded away.

Looking for lunch and Marlins / Cubs in a few.
Drift on with controlled chaos.... y'all...
