Anybody had a fever due to booster?

I spoke with 2 friends today and both had the booster AND flu shot at the same time 24 hours ago.

One has a 101 fever, body aches and is very tired.
The other has body aches and has spent the whole day in the bathroom.

Seems maybe a pattern that folks should not get both at the same time.

My wife got her booster this morning. Only the booster and no problems yet.

I also passed on Flu and Booster the same day.
But I was also not up to full speed for a couple of days after taking the Booster.
Could not leap tall buildings in a single bound.
Took 2, sometimes 3 leaps.

I found it's easier to take the elevator up to the roof and start from the top of the building.
All 3 Moderna shots just gave me a slightly sore shoulder, similar to a very mild tetanus shot; nothing like the 2nd shingles shot, which felt like a triple-header of a tetanus shot.
Ask your doctor if Modernabulababic is right for you. Side affects may be swelling of the middle toe on each foot, kidney stone, excessive burping, slight nausea in your left underarm, irritable bowel syndrome, burning in the urinary tract, body temperature over 106.5 F, road rage, smelly stool, blackheads on your elbows, death, resurrection, tendency to dance to hip hop music in church, more death, and/or bloody nose.

Moderna gave me a fever about 24 hours later. It went away after about an hour. My daughter got the Pfizer and ended up with fluid around her heart. It cleared up on it's own. Scary stuff! I'm not rushing out for the booster.

Nothing but a sore arm and some tiredness with all of my Pfizer shots. I did get a flu shot last winter and about a week later ran a fever of just over 100 for a few hours. Was back to normal the next day.

Moderna here too, fever after the second shot for one day.
Now I'm on my 10th booster because they keep telling me I need another booster for the previous booster?
Seriously, I will not be participating anymore.

If you're on your tenth booster, best seek better medical advice. Supposed to be on your first. If you're just being humerous, okay.

I'll take as many boosters as needed. Already take a flu shot annually. Visit the dentist for check ups and maintenance a coupla times a year. My primary care doc even more often. Even take four different meds every single day.

I like modern medicine and I like staying healthy.

Covid boosters? Meh. Bring 'em on!

I got my first booster

Here is something to think about.

The Billings Gazette is the paper for the largest city in this state. Both the city of Billings (pop. 110,000) and the state are ultra conservative. 54% OF Montanans have had 2 doses of vaccine. The paper gives a Covid up date a couple times a week.. Last up date had 47 people hospitalized in Billings hospitals with covid, 43 of those were NOT vaccinated. There were 18 in ICU units with 13 on ventilators. None of those were vaccinated. So, 46% of the population which is unvaccinated. makes up 100% of those in ICU and on ventilators and 91% of those requiring hospital care.. HMMMMM

On the way to Cali for Christmas so I'm gonna get another booster today then I'll get another booster once I get to Cali just for safe measures. I already have an appointment with my doctor to get another booster once I get back too.

It's just amazing just how many folks who say they will refuse a Covid booster won't even blink if told they must get a tetanus shot (3-5 years), or a flu shot (1 year), or a pneumonia shot (5 years), or demand antibiotics for every infection, etc.???

I spaced my Moderna Covid booster shot and flu shot out a couple of weeks and still got sore arm from each and a 2 day mild fever and headache from the Covid vaccine booster. My golf buddy did flu and Covid at once and spent the next day blowing chunks. He's well now. We're all different.

Moderna shot #1 02/2021 = a walk in the park
Moderna shot #2 03/2021 = slight fever and injection sight pain for a few days
Moderna shot #3(Booster) 11/2021 = slight fever 24 hrs after injection and injection sight ache for a few days.

It’s inevitable at this point that you get vaccinated or you build immunity the old fashioned way. The overall mortality is 1 or 2%.The mortality rate for an unvaccinated 65 yr old male (this forum) is considerably higher. The odds of developing long COVID and permanent damage are around 30%. It’s a really dumb hill to die on lol

Pfizer shot #1 03/16/21 = a little tired the next day - no pain at injection site

Pfizer shot #2 04/06/2021 = same as first jab

Pfizer shot #3(Booster) 12/19/2021 = tired, slight fever 12 hrs after injection, body aches and mild soreness at injection site for a few days. Other than the injection sight soreness, I felt normal by the morning of 12/21/21 (36 hours). Tylenol helped

The good news is that having a reaction to any of the shots is that this means your body is setting up effective immunity.

The worse the reaction, the better the immune system response.

Oddly, my worst reaction was the second shot. The booster was a mild reaction. I did my flu shot 2 months after the booster.

Pfizer for me, all 3, Booster Sept 3rd?

I've been holding off, actually strike that...I will never get any of the shots being pushed as flu vaccines. In my small circle of neighbors, family and friends who have got one or more shots, one had severe convulsions (both after two jabs), one an analphylactic reaction requiring hospitalization, two have developed debilitating heart conditions, and one was dead of clots caused by the shot within a couple of weeks. No thanks!

My doc recommended two weeks between the Moderna booster and the annual flu shot, so that is what I did.

Moderna: Shot 1, no problems. Shot 2, puny for a couple of days, a little fever, muscle and joint pain. Booster, sore arm for 3 days.
