CLP

Breakfree CLP since 1979.... with wheel bearing grease on slide rails etc... for all normal usage. A friend's heavily oiled Rem 700 froze up during very cold weather high in the Colorado Rockies, they had to gently thaw out the action over a camp fire & wipe off the disassembled bolt...Now on rifles that will be used during very hard cold weather, I shift to a totally degreased firearm & use graphite sparingly.

Glad it wasn't the "tragic boating accident".

Nah, no tragedy...tho my pride could have been severely injured if I was that kinda guy. Was launching an unfamiliar boat and first attempt wasn't deep enough. Backed trailer another foot or so, got out and saw boat free-floating away

I'm really glad I left the cell in the truck.

CLP has always been a performance standard. Any company that wanted to bid on the government supply contract was free to formulate it any way they wanted that would meet the standard. Its why there are different smelling products, but all meet government specs. Kind of like buying ice cream, you pick the flavor. Regardless, its still cold and fattening.

Since we've drifted...
Same thing happened to a buddy.
All he could do was watch as his truck and trailer slid down the ramp into the Miami River.
Low tide.
Like it was coated with Breakfree...

Whew, now that's a bad day.

I can verify, however, that the Kel-Tec belt clip will retain a P-11, during limited swimming activity!
