Concealed Carry Permit. Is This True?

That is correct. And I should have been more clear. But the point I was making that if you hold a resident CCW in most states (if not all, but not sure) PA will issue you a PA nonresident CCW. Only thing is you gotta go in person to get picture taken. If anyone planning on doing this, keep in mind, only certain County Sheriff's allow non resident CCW. York County approved mine. Made an appointment, was in and out in less than 10 minutes.

You are "mostly" correct

PA does NOT issue, nor is there such a thing, as a PA "NON-resident" LTCF

There is ONLY a PA LTCF

A minor issue, but incorrect............

As to this, PA Sheriff's have been placed on notice (see below), by the DOJ, about not issuing LTCF's to non-PA residents (again, there is NO such thing as a PA "non-resident" LTCF (also, it's not a CCW, it's a LTCF)

I'm not sure how long you've held a PA LTCF, but I've held mine since 1985

Thank you for the reply. I will proceed with the Florida permit as recommend. I just want it to wave the 3 day wait. I've never carried in a holster since 1974 hunting hogs. I do keep a firearm in my truck. I live in the woods, drive a Ford F 350 crew cab, diesel 4X4 so I am probably last on the list for car jacking from thugs. LOL
At one time we had a truck like that, plus it was a dually. Driving it thru the SW by my female self convinced me to get my carry permits. Didn't like some of the comments and looks i got at truck stops. Considering I was in my late 60's I doubt it was me they wanted!

Although if you're not a "prohibited person", you can now carry a concealed weapon without a concealed firearms and weapons license in Florida, there are 3 benefits a Florida license still offers:

You don't have a waiting period when purchasing a gun from an FFL.

You're immune from Federal law regarding not being allowed to possess a loaded firearm within 1000 feet of a school, which could pose a serious problem for you in the event you're pulled over for a traffic infraction or have an accident within the 1000 foot no gun zone zone.

Reciprocity with other states in the event you want to travel with your carry gun.

I think that we must persist for full reciprocity anywhere and everywhere in the USA. Why should this be any different than being a licensed driver, who is free to travel anywhere and everywhere while in possession and control of a Weapon of Mass Destruction.
Can you even imagine what would happen if a state tried to restrict ANY other "constitutional right"? The liberals would be more ballistic than the rest of us, but guns? Nope that right doesn't count. Pure BS.
