Bob - "A very good reason" is no longer required in any county in California following the Bruen decision by the Supreme Court. The state has thrown up some fairly onerous roadblocks like a 16-hour class requirement for new CCW applicants, and some counties are much slower than others in processing applications. But go ahead and get that application in, every day you wait is another day longer it will take.I'm in California. You guys are making me jealous. I'm 74, I've had numerous classes over the years and had armed guard cert, for a few years. I would love to get a ccw just for protection but, here, you need a very good reason.
