Coronavirus and Deadly Force

It's not serious enough to shoot someone that states they have the virus for spitting on you because they may not have it and if they do have it you may not get infected and if you do get infected it will probably not bother you any more than a cold. You can't shoot someone over a cold.
The Govt. has shut down the country. It's dangerous to be within 6 ft. of someone. People are dying everyday because of the virus.
Which is it? If it is no more than a cold why has the country been shut down and if it is dangerous as the Govt. says you should be able to defend yourself from a deadly threat. Larry

Its a really good question. Consider this virus has such a low kill rate, does make you wonder why we are so afraid. Could it just be politcs pushed by the media?
Look, we accept 40,000 auto deaths a year as cost of doing business. We need to look at any threat to life in a sim way. I am not out lcking door knobs, but I am not afraid of a bad flu. Cetainly not afraid enough to shoot someone who claims to have it & coughs on me. He may be drinking soup from a straw for 6 wks but i'll reserve my bullets for a serious threat.
