Defend yourselves with Ballpoint Pens!

Another vote here for a pencil. A good sharpened pencil will slide in much easier than a ball point. Then you snap it off. As an aside, when in court on criminal day, I NEVER allow a pencil on counsel table.

I see you watched Season Three of 24 too.
Jack was watching from the hall when the prisoner stabbed his lawyer in the neck and kilt him dead.
Jack of course kilt the prisoner later in the day.:D

We have no open carry in Florida, does that mean I have to conceal my pen? :(

Does anyone have an example of a tactical model ballpoint pen, mine look sort of lacking. i am able to click my bic, but it still looks pretty lame.
Glen

Rapid clicking might be considered as an assault bic and should be banned!

I wonder whether we should start a thread about zip-guns?

I seem to recall a rather gruesome scene in the movie Casino when Pesci attacks some guy at a bar with a ball point....

Levity aside, a tactical pen is a good defense and safety alternative - and yes, with knowledge and skill it can be very effective. They enjoy a serious and expanding market. Just google "tactical pen" to see what I mean.

I don't doubt that barring other options it's better than nothing... but since the good Senator is hoping to ban guns using the, "You can get all kinds of pens to fight with!" line of reasoning.

I can only hope that if I am ever forced into a gun fight that my opponent is packing a pen....

Or even worse, your allies!

Is there a limit on how many I can carry? Do I need to conceal my pocket protector? Has anyone else thought of the problems associated carrying multple colors? The questions are endless. :)

Are Ball Point Pens Still Allowed in Schools, Post Offices and Court Houses??

I heard with my own ears a politician say how the active shooter in Arizona was stopped by people armed with ball point pens.

Does that mean that ball point pens are now banned in weapon free places like schools, post offices and court houses?
