Yeah, I'm one of those "yes" voters.

In the bathroom, yes. Into the shower, no.

No, it's not because I expect ninjas to jump through my bathroom window.

I also don't get to choose whether or not someone invades my home during "awkward" moments like showering or "using the facilities."

A defensive tool does me no good if it's sitting in another room when I actually need it because I'm worried about other people thinking I'm "paranoid."

I keep thinking of Ernie, of "Bert and Ernie" doing the "Rubber Duckie" song with an 8" model 29 instead of the duck.....

Sometimes - not because I am paranoid, but because I just want to stare at it and do a little bonding. I am sure there're plenty of you out there that know what I am talking about. :-)

Did you have in mind your "weapon" or your "gun"?

With all this talk of needing a gun in the shower, with my general habit of looking at things we should be more afraid of than armed home invaders, I think I'm now worried enough to get an AED for each room in the house!

I guess I am a "sometimes" person. If I intend to wear the same pants afterwards, the Glock 22 that is already there holstered on the belt goes into the bathroom with me. If I have to whiz at zero dark thirty in the morning, I don't holster up.

My dog (big girl) usually lays down outside the door of the bathroom when im in there. No one unauthorized is getting near me at that point......

Wasn't it somewhat normal to take your M1 into the shower for a through cleaning. Admittedly it was a long time ago, but if I recall correctly, some did.

Curious as to responses as there was a member of my family who did this when showering - saying this is when he felt most vulnerable.
Is there some magical sphere of protection that I'm not aware of, associated with the bathroom wherein one takes a shower, which nullifies the rationale for keeping a firearm somewhere nearby?
