Finally got a break in the hot temps and high humidity this morning and Daisy and I are going to take advantage of it. We are up at the crack of dawn loading up to head to the Buffalo River National Park to do some hiking and just be off grid for the day.

Hope everyone has a great weekend!

It was 64° yesterday at 11 AM in OKC and I was driving with no AC on and it still felt like I had the air conditioning on coming out the vents so I aimed the air vents away from me. Today is supposed to be even better as I’m sitting on my back porch typing this in gym shorts and a T-shirt and it’s quite cool, which is very rare for Oklahoma and August.

No relief in sight in Texas. I've just been adapting my schedule so that I get most of what I need done before it gets too hot. That and I when I go out I search for shady spots to park in.

Wednesday was 101 here. Yesterday got up to 67...today 75. Last night ,this morning actually was 52 and we actually had a small rain shower.. 64 as I type now...we had beef stew for din-din tonight...Best I've made in at least a couple years and cool enough weather to have stew!
