So with my recent purchase of an underlugged model 60 to match my 686, I have started to wonder if they ever made one on the N-Frame? It would be kinda neat to add to my collection if they did.

Smith and Wesson made many thousands of them in different configurations.

This is product code 101024, a 5 1/2" 627

There were others in 5" and 6" as well.

Your welcome Soda. ;)

627-3 V-comp, its a PC gun from 2003, the new ones are black with a stainless cylinder.

Besides full underlug J,L,N frames S&W also made full underlug K frames in the .38 caliber Model 14-5,6 and .32 caliber 16-4 but those were blued ,

A J and a L-frame. Add a N and a K-frame. That's the beginnings of a pretty nice S&W collection. Then a 5-screw, and a 4-screw. An I-frame. A topbreak. It never ends.

That unfluted 627 is exactly what I had in mind. Now I just have to find one when the time comes. Currently rebuilding funds after buying the model 60.
