I went to my favorite pusher's today to give him some more money on the model 41 I put on hold last week. I'm planning on picking it up on Wed. or Thur. But here is the problem he had a nice model 64-3 4"for $269.00 . I told him to put that one in back also  so now I'll be waiting on the model 64 as I do'nt want to do the extra form if you buy more than one handgun in a 7 day time frame.;)

Not sure what you need help with. The price on the 64 is right, so it probably isn't help at finding good deals. There's nothing wrong with buying a 41, either.

I think I don't understand the problem.

Instead of your checking account, just have your work make direct deposits to the local gun shop.

That's what I did...;)

sure shot bob. I have the same deal doing on. Two recent bought guns waiting at my ffl for pick up doing that wait so as not to fill out the extra form. He said in his experience who the ATF would target is guys buying a batch of cheap guns all at once. However he did say he has had customers report to him that they did get visits and the visits were mostly ATF wanting to see the guy - view him - and his surroundings and maybe ask to see a certain gun - just to maybe validate he actually still had the gun.

I also have a gun on consignment there that's not selling so the ffl will have to sign it back over to me. And I have another one on layaway at buds. The ATF does not take into consideration that "deals and guns you want" will not wait. And one most buy when one has the opportunty to acquire what it is he wants.

I would think the ATF would look at the record and see that its very rare for anyone to go on a mass spree kill with a revolver. However they do not seem to recognize the collector mentally.

however are we collectors? or are we hoarders buying guns to compensate for emotional issues from childhood? in which case you could go to a shrink and spend way more money than you do on guns and you could get on meds that you would have to take everyday instead of just buying a gun every couple of weeks or when funds allow it. only you can answer which of the above sounds like more fun. the only possible good outcome with the shrink would be to find he/she is an avid collector too and you eventually are going to gun shows together. talking about the theraputic aspects of a 27-2 nickel with three and half inch barrel and they only want a grand...

all in fun.

Are you kidding? Anyone can answer which is more fun. And it should ordinarily be cheaper. Furthermore, you could specialize, and maybe even get it under control.

No-brainer.

If you are looking for help here you are looking in the wrong place! Most all of us have the same problem. Handy money saveing tip to help pay fer gun's, graze out on the lawn instead of buying lunch, work's for me!

I posted this in jest:p and I do beleave that everyone knew that. My wife thinks I do have a problem tho.:rolleyes:I tell her there are people that have a lot more gun's than I do.I'm trying to narrow my collecting to military gun's and of course SMITH & WESSON'S :D

If you get the model 41, be careful, the darn things have a tendency to shoot in the same hole.
