Two days ago it was in the low 30's and snowing. At this moment it is 73° and I have every window in the house open.

Mrs Kravitz, next door, has called three times to complain.

Fixed and added a pool because we're talking spring. Mrs Wilson was pretty mellow. But we all got it.

Going to be 77 and "mostly sunny" here in SW Ohio today. "Mostly sunny" means it will be sunny until early afternoon when the many jet contrails disperse and block out the Sun. I've yet to figure out what's up with that. When I was a kid I remember deep blue skies and white, puffy clouds. Now it is a blindingly bright silver sky most of the time...almost fluorescent looking.

...7 degrees and 4 inches new snow this morning here at 9500 feet...drove my wife to work down at 7900 feet...5 below there...a bit of a temperature inversion going on...

...it was 69 degrees down in Denver Sunday...went down to get some Chinese take out...

It was 36 in the desert this morning at 0600 now at 0930 it's up to 45. About normal for this time of the year.

Not yet.

While my cup of tea was brewing I shot this morning's photo essay.

Two Bit...that last picture is the best of the bunch this morning. I Filled up the ol woodstove last night at about 10 and shortly after hit the sack. When momma came to bed she opened it up a bit..when I got out of bed a 0600 that darn stove was almost out...so threw some wood in and decided to go back to bed and read for a while. A fire such as the one you show is really nice when it's like it was this morn...

C'mon Spring!!

When it's this cold I load that BlazeKing about four times a day. If it'll warm up to ten above then I can go down to three times -- won't be there for about a week. It's only seven below now, though -- a heat wave compared to yesterday.

80 in Louisville. Wild onions are sprouting and azaleas are plumping up. Long range forecast is above avg. Sounds good to me!

Talked to my son in Denver this morning, he said it was a bit fresh outside. That kid loves the snow and the cold.

THIS kid does too :D-except the time in austin when I had the flu and waited over 40 minutes after walking 10 minutes to the nearest bus stop-to go get some medicine.:o:o:o

About ten days ago I would have said yes, but Mother Nature has decided to show us who's boss. Was 73°F on Saturday, but this morning there was a skin of ice on the birdbath. Supposed to be even colder tonight with snow possible Thursday night.

The stupid flowering cherry trees are coming out already, but I think our peach tree is dead as there are no buds to speak of. Think the previous owner planted it too close to the house.

Spring rains here in the Midwest is melting all the snow causing a large area of flooding ..

2 inches already and more on the way .. freezing rain/sleet on the back side .. as Old Man Winter isn't ready to let go ..

It was supposed to get up into the mid 70's today. My wife and I planned to go for a hike over the local mountain ridge. I have a new pair of boots in need of breaking in.
When we left the house it was 84 degrees, by the time we got to the top of the ridge, the remote temperature sensor sent a message to my Garmin GPS watch that it was 92 degrees.
More like a nice summer day today.
We ended up going 4.89 miles.
Tomorrow we're planning on going for a nice bike ride on the C&O Canal Towpath.

78 yesterday . . .

34 for the high today. Even got a bit of snow early this morning. It melted as soon as it hit the ground, but still. Right now it's 24. Supposed to be in the upper 60s by Friday, 50s tomorrow.

Maybe winter's last hurrah, or maybe not.

Any time you can use your truck A/C in February is a great winter in my mind. All of the snow that fell Saturday night is gone and the piles that were still around from past storms will not last long.

It will be 67 here today and the only cold day will be Friday when it falls to 38. After that the next week is projected to be in the 40's and 50's. March is a week away so I feel that the worst is over. We may get snow again but I doubt that it will last long.

The older that I get the more that I don't enjoy the cold and snow so a warm February or March is fine with me.

SPRING?

More like direct to summer! 89 Yesterday, the pool hit 82, the same expected today. Record's (plural) broken as far back as recorded. Last years march frost cost me my early garden. Just waiting, trying to decide to plant or not.
