Machined load assist buttons

In reading this thread, I wonder how some of you are pulling the button down. It sounds like you are holding the magazine in one hand an using the thumb on the same hand to pull it down.

Instead, place the magazine on a firm surface, even a knee or leg will do, and use BOTH the thumb and forefinger (pointer) on one hand to pull it down while using the other hand to load with. No slippage, no rolling button and with a couple of magazine's worth of practice you'll load a 25 rounder in about 60 seconds.

That's how I do it. I thought it was common sense. :D

That's how I do it as well, usually on a table...sometimes on a leg. The original plastic buttons don't roll as I pull it down, these metal ones do. It doesn't hurt my loading ability or speed, it's just noticeable.

I got a great email on Sunday night from Robert - several options, owned the issue, wanted to make it right and had a theory about what happened. Seems like he is 100% standing behind his product and appears to be in the process of rectifying the issue I had. I will report back when it's resolved.

Update: New buttons are in bound and according to Robert, his new finish on this set is "superb". Will report back upon arrival
