When I saw the "slaves" dragging her in wearing her horns, I was again reminded of the "spiritual" overtones of most if not all of her work, albeit, of the darker variety. If you dig the darkness, then she's your gal.
A couple of you have mentioned bringing back marching bands.
The DCI competition is THE NFL of drum and bugle corps. It happens over the summer. I've long thought that the winner over the summer should do halftime at the following calendar year's Super Bowl. They don't bill them as "musical athletes" for nothing. Many of my friends have done this (not me, I'm too old, they age you out at 22!) and it's 10-12 hours a day of marching and playing. The Cavaliers show last summer was my favorite...complete with upside down drummers (held by hooking onto another players shoulders while two others held the drums upside down for him) Anyway, they didn't even win...the fun starts at about 4:40 with the antics on the drum line. Xtraordinary was based musically on "Nature Boy" so they had jungle guard on stilts.

THAT is talent. THAT is what halftime is supposed to be.
Madonna is talented too, but ... i dunno. A pop or rock concert at halftime is just wrong. Much as I love them, it's just not right.
Then again, I live in a house that jokes a football game is a just a long opener for a marching band show.![]()
I watched Puppy Bowl VIII and I didn't see her...

Also, IU Marching One Hundred was there. Apparently they do have a marching band at halftime...it's just not THE halftime.
My grandpa use to say
"old is 20 years older than you are right now!"
I'm supposed to be in pretty good shape but she puts me to shame.
