A few months ago I bought a AK47 Slide Fire and rather liked it so I place an order for a Slide Fire for my AR15. My question is can I put it on my 15-22 rifle? It has the threaded barrel and flash hider and I was thinking I may need something to produce more recoil? Any thing I should get or mods to 15-22 to make it work?

Thanks guys!

Go to youtube and search 15-22 slidefire. There are alot of vids there. The common denominator of most of them are a trigger kits that break at 3lbs or less.

AR15 Slidefire will fit on 15-22. Get light trigger. Get CCI Mini Mags. Use S&W mags. A little grease on your buffer tube.

Recoil Rail is optional :)

I was on the page ready to buy the slidefire stock THEN I thought I should probably check out my ammo availability. Wal-mart here apparently sells out in 10 minutes after every shipment... Not gun shops have any, and I have yet to find a place to buy any online for under .20 around with an actual stock...

I already burn through too much ammo as is haha.

Rumor going around some of the gun forums that walmart corporate sent out new instructions as to how to release the .22lr ammo to somewhat curb the hoarders from grabbing it all to resell. The story goes they will be putting the .22lr ammo out at different intervals of the day and not when they do the once a day ammo shelf restock. If this is true or not I can not validate but I hope this IS true. YMMV.

It doesn't work like that at Walmarts in central Florida. If it comes in on the late afternoon/evening truck, they hold it till morning and put it out. Put it out is not accurate, as there are usually several guys waiting for it, when they bring it to the counter. Most gets sold before getting to the shelves, however the supply is very seldom. It can go a week or two before a few of the 7 Walmarts, in my area, will get any in. The Walmart app really helps. I got two 550 count Federal, a few weeks ago, one at two different stores. They will only allow you to by one bulk pack a day.

And that is exactly what their supposedly trying to stop due to a lot of people complaining, if the rumour is true who knows.

My Walmart has been top selling in ammo for the chain several times in the past decade. The stores gets from 2-3 tractor-trailers every day but not all have ammo. If it comes in they put it out at that time regardless. The stores that only get 1 trailer per day usually put it out in the early morning.

I am of the opinion that if WalMart is your source of ammo, and the stuff is put on the shelf at 5:00 AM (or whatever time), then that's when you should be there. Anyone who waits until later in the day has no one to blame for missing out but themselves.

WalMart is in the business of selling, not guaranteeing equitable ammo distribution. First buyers get the goodies.

Sorta OT but...

I can do you one better. The story is true. The hoarders (and GB reselling pigs) around here wrote a letter to corporate and complained and now my local store now has to put it all out at 7:00am ONCE AGAIN.

Some days I make it and some days I don't. Things have gotten much better around here for the moment except 9mm and 22lr (of course).
