She is doing alright, forget the beauty of the egg and concentrate on what it tastes like. I'll bet it is pretty good.

My wife is a very good cook, but cooks a few things a bit differently than I would. But hey, she's cooking! I just shut up and eat it. We get along very well this way. It sure makes dessert better!

I'm guessing the girl friend probably has sufficient talent in enough other areas to offset the nit picky egg problem.

As for the eggs, Have her use a metal cookie cutter to contain the egg while cooking. Easy peasy.
