New guy here from North central Mass. Been poking around this site for a while and have found tons of useful info. As a local LEO, we just recently switched over from carrying Glocks to the M&P. We had the G23/G27 .40 for on/off duty weapons and got the M&P 45/45c back in the fall. First time at the range and most of us qualified first time through without putting any rounds through the guns first. Very smooth and accurate right out of the box. Still a glock fan, but the M&Ps are a very nice alternative. Heading to the range this weekend to put a few more rounds through the 45c.

Welcome to the forum. I love the M&P. Owned one since 09 and had three, sold my 40c, now just have two..fs 9, and fs45. I just seen a 45c at one of my lgs, first one I seen ever around these parts. For whatever reason the M&P 45 is tough to find around here...

Welcome from Wisconsin!

Our PD switched from Glock 22s to M&P40s about 5 years ago & are in the process of reissuing (or have already reissued) new ones. I have one of the used ones & it's a really nice handgun. I like it so much I bought an M&P40C last year. I also came from Glocks when I was doing armed security & the issue guns were pretty beat up so bought my own G21 & G23. I gave those to my LEO son to use as off duty weapons before we had a concealed carry law & after I retired from security work. He has to supply his own off duty weapon & loves the Glocks but likes his duty M&P40 better.

I just got a DAO 69 series 3RD generation that was a trade in from Fall River PD. Anywhere near you?
