If you can find them that cheap...buy them all up!
I paid $499 for mine used, a few years ago before the gun frenzy.
You can't touch them for that cheap anymore!

Mcmar, I'm glad your High Point works for you, but most of us haven't had the same experience. Broken extractors, frames or slides that fall apart while shooting or when they impact the ground, slides that follow fired rounds down range, the list goes on and on. Not to mention their "finish" has consisted of spray paint on the outside of the gun but none in the inside!

MY personal experience says they are unreliable and frequently dangerous to the shooter. If I needed a reliable carbine or handgun and couldn't afford a Glock, Sig, Springfield, etc, I'd spend another $100, buy a Kel-Tec and go home happy.

High point was and still known as a Saturday night special, but they are stepping there game up as of late with better materials and manufacturing processes, that being said I would not buy a used one for anything but a diversion gun if they ever come knocking to confiscate guns I'll hand em a couple a cheap used high points and act like I'm ticked off until there on to the next door.

I have a marlin 9mm, its a hoot, I have alot of S/W 9s so it was a logical choice. Put a dot on it and its so fun at 50-60 yards and in. Did have to buy a new buffer for it, so I bought 2, pretty cheap though.
I wanted another so I bought the Ruger and modified a bunch of Beretta mags to work in it and 92 f/fs's we have around.
As soon as I get out of CA Im getting a kelteck so it will take glock mags , nice set up for a small package. bob
