I have two boxes of 9mm ammo that I need some help to identify. It is packed in a plain brown boxes containing 64 rounds each and is headstamped 43. Someone told me that he thought that it was WWII Canadian ammo but he wasn't positive. Any help would be appreciated.

As I recall, the Canadian surplus that I shot in my Luger in the 1960s was headstamped 9MM as well as 43. It was boxed by the 64 (two STEN magazines's worth) and "sterile" with no indication of the source.
Shot good in that S/42, too.
It was offered as noncorrosive and I never saw any signs of rust, even though I trusted the salesman and only cleaned with Hoppe's.

But I can't say that is what YOU are seeing.
