Last time I got on one of those scales, (it had a slot where you also got a small card that told your fortune), the little card came out and said, "Come back when you are by yourself!!" I was offended, but could not argue the reason ... Guess they didn't want their springs over stressed!!!

Warm up with this photo of the Western Maryland Scenic RR fireman shoveling coal into the firebox of #734 "Mountain Thunder" on its way up the 2.25% grade to Frostburg on May 19th, 2006.
