My wife and I recently started shooting a 'steel pig' match at our local range where we shoot reduced sized pig silhouette targets at 200m with .22LR. It's a lot of fun, so I welded up a swinger for us to practice.

That white water pic brought back some memories.

This was rafting the New River Gorge, WV, 1992 with a bunch of folks from work.

I'm in front on the far side of the raft in a dark blue shirt.

My wife did the New River rafting for many years to the point that the guides all knew her by name. Since she had both knees replaced she has not gone, but still misses doing so.

Yo John - did you ever eat in that Large restaurant in Nuevo Progreso?
It’s the only place that I ever had Frog Legs in a restaurant.
You selected and ordered several main courses, the waiters brought bowls of sides.
They has Snapper, Shrimp, Quail, Frog Legs, and other stuff.
Like Twin Toronado’s. The tendon loin of those bony Mexican Cows was so small that you got two Filets Mignons.

The other day I was up in the hills just North of here.
Enjoying the Flora and looking for some Fauna.
I see some movement a few hundred yards away.
Grab my glasses, see 3 Yotes.
Get my camera from its case, get out of my SUV.
By the time I got uncapped, zoomed, focused, two of the Yotes had moved into cover.
Here’s the one I could still see.
Nothing Special!
Just another Day in Paradise!

Something a little different today. Glad Paint Bucket kitten was not out and about. This is why I keep my camera in the kitchen within easy reach of the sunroom. I was on my sim rig in the sunroom running around the Nordschleife in a Mustang GT3 when I saw a red-tailed hawk fly past just outside. Jumped up, grabbed the camera and headed outside. I was about 30 feet away and got this picture before he/she flew off. Three foot wingspan on this one.

I usually hop in a C7 Corvette for some laps around the Nordschleife. Fun stuff. I haven't done any online racing in recent years, just hotlap competitions in RaceRoom and offline races against AI.
I had to remove a couple seats in our home theater to fit the sim rig into a back corner.

Mine is a bit simpler. :D All I do is hotlap. After 38 years and around 1,000,000 miles driving around lots of idiots while fixing copiers for Xerox I prefer to have just me and the track. Amazing how I seem to hop on the rig even less now that I am retired. I need to work on that.
