Rittenhouse found not guilty on all counts

Laying low by changing his residence, continuing counseling, and following the advice of helpful and trusted legal advisors will certainly help Kyle.

As far as being a tool in cultural wars, check out how that worked out for those trying to use Nick Sandman.

I expect Rittenhouse will follow the same course and do as well financially. There are personal risk/reward evaluations to make on this course, but civil legal wins for him will advance the cause of justice and Rule of Law. There is a price to pay for lying to the American public, and it should be paid. Kyle will collect.

I do not think Kyle will fare as well as Sandman.
Financially or otherwise.

Since I lived in Cincinnati for a long time, I check the news there once in a while. The Hamilton Country prosecutor (Joe Deters), had some interesting comments:

Hamilton County prosecutor, attorney react to Rittenhouse verdict

"[The] prosecutor is either spineless or an idiot," Deters said. "It's embarrassing to prosecutors around the country — know the law, know how it should be even-handed. No matter who is being shot, who shoots, that's not the issue. What color they are, if they're gay, it doesn't matter."

...

"If this happened in Hamilton County, he would've never been charged at all," Deters said.

FWIW, I know that the ends aren't supposed to justify the means but the reality on the ground here was that the crowds of mostly peaceful rioters were a fraction of what they had been before Rittenhouse did his thing.
Are you saying there were fewer rioters turning out AFTER a trio of them got shot, than what there were BEFORE the shooting?
Imagine that.... ;)

I wonder if his mother had to make the same decision again, would she? Or would she tell her underage son to stay home where he belongs, and not go looking for trouble?

ROFLMAO!!!! That is soooo funny. A parent telling a teenager anything is liable to result in a lawsuit in this day and age.

The lovely mantra of Progressivism has spent the last 100+ yrs convincing you that is the norm.
It's not that he shouldn't be there, it's that he shouldn't have had to be there.
When do the folks that shirked their duty to protect life and property get charged?

I don't know about charged, but their reckoning should come next time Kenosha and/or its county hold elections.

Well, at least that's how it's supposed to work.;)

If he'd have kept his mouth shut, he wouldn't be there.

Following the Rittenhouse trial, I think Americans should be reminded that FACTS, not emotions, are the foundation of our laws, the directing force of the criminal justice system and at the core of defining criminal behavior.

Let facts stand in the way of a set dogma and commentary? Are you new? ;)

I think at one point he said his CCP was current now but was expired on the date of this incident.

Wondered why he lied to the police when he stated that he lost his gun. Wonder why he was carrying a concealed weapon with an expired permit and he isn't being charged. I know what would happen to me if either my permit or driver license was expired and I was found carrying a concealed pistol.

As a defense if that were to happen just: topple a statue, set fire to a police car and loot a business and a good portion of American society would praise you as a hero and mostly peaceful protestor with the firearms violation being a non issue with them, along with the violent acts committed.
