I don't get the hate for soda,I think the whole "healthy food" thing is just showing how little they know about it.

I'll drink Dr.Pepper but it's not my thing, about the only change I've made with soda is I only drink it when I'm eating.

Another it must be true cause it was seen on the internet.

My wife the RN exclusively drinks DP regular and diet at times. If they quit making it she would storm the walls in TX with a large rusty needle passing out shots till they got busy brewing some. It would look like Alamo 2.

Around here you can even buy Dr. Pepper syrup to put on your ice cream. The first time I saw that was at the old Dublin, TX (privately owned) DP bottling plant where they made DP with real sugar until it was sold few years ago.

When I quit drinking a 8 pack of Rolling Rock every night several
years ago, I started drinking DP and got hooked on it. I was
drinking it constantly, saw the light and quit cold turkey. Now
drink a couple Rolling Rocks, they are brewed from pure mountain spring water, and much healthier. Anyway that's what
I tell my old lady.

They still make the Dr Pepper with Imperial can sugar. Look in the grocery store for the 8oz bottles in a 6 pack. Look for the imperial sugar symbol on the bottles.

All you need is a really cold 8oz bottle, more than that it gets a bit too sweet.

Maybe you can just get it like that in Texas!! I've never seen it in that form here in WV. I looked at the label of the one I bought tonight, and the first ingredient was water and the second was corn syrup. Real sugar could very well make the difference.

Best Regards, Les

That sucks. I remember back a few years ago when Dublin was still running there was a limited range for the good stuff. something about the distribution area for different plants. When dublin lost their franchise I thought that would change. We still get the good DP just not from the dublin, tx plant any more.

My only two soft drinks are diet Dr. P (usually found in the drink dispensers at most of the fast food places and convenience stores in Texas) and diet root beer. My favorite diet root beer is the Wal-Mart house brand but many WM stores in San Antonio do not stock it. I drive through Uvalde TX (the childhood home of Dale Evans) frequently, and the WM there always has it, so I have to renew my supply there every passage. My wife hates both, she will drink only the H-E-B house brand diet cola.

Dr. Pepper

My go to drink is Diet Dr. Pepper. It's demise is Internet Bull.
A friend of mine who's last name is Foster came up with a new concoction,The Dr. Foster. Hennesy and Dr.Pepper! It's good.

Well, if they could get rid of only ONE "soft drink" I'd vote for Mountain Dew...it contains the most sugar of any soda and has destroyed more teeth than anything else I know. Well, except maybe crystal meth, but that's another story.

The cane sugar Dr. Poured on vanilla Blue Bell ice cream is to die for. The other Dr. Poured on ice cream will sorta freeze not near as good. I don't do this anymore since my last bout of weight lose. Memories!

Don't even like pepper on my food. Sure ain't gonna drink it.
