good morning peeps! well i did something that i hope is the right thing, as you guys all know i have the 442 and 438 for only a week or so right, so i went to one of the shop and they have this sw 360pd, the price tag was 870, nothing against the 38 special round i know it has enough power to stop a BG but I always like the 357mag caliber, IMHO i feel confident that 1 or 2 of 357mag rounds will definetly stop somebody . I know i probably lost maybe 50 to 70bucks on the trade but atleast I have what i wanted to be my permanent CCW piece, I will practice with 38 specials, maybe shoot a couple of 357mag just to feel the power, I will be loading it with the Hornandy critical defense 125gr every time i'm CCW it so anyway I know some of you will think I'm nuts but hey you only live once right,,,here it is..

Congrats! You'll enjoy it. I love my 340PD, which I've had for about five months. The stock grips aren't all that great though, in my opinion. Last night, I replaced mine with the Hogue version of the boot grip.

Nice! I had one for a few days and it got traded. I wish I'd kept it, but it went for a good cause :D I just kind of regret that I never had a chance to shoot it.

I bought mine about six months ago, use Hornady CD .38 Special +P, and did indeed fire a few .357 rounds just to say I did. (My advice: wear a shooting glove and choose lower-power .357s.)

The only problem I've had is a strange tendency to occasionally call it a 340PD in forum posts.

I switched grips to Crimson Trace LG-405, which has a "recoil reducing pocket" that I like. The slight additional bulk really doesn't make pocket carry any more difficult. I know that some people think putting a laser on a short-range gun is silly, but it dramatically improved my accuracy, because the laser facilitates quick pointing rather than sighting.

Enjoy!
