Stainless vs Chrome vs Nickel vs Blue

Nickel is my last choice for a coating.
Stainless is good--but over the longhaul does not maitain its luster either.
Blue is beautifu--best look---but like nickel, is a poor choice for protection.
hard Chrome is the best--impo.
The STI has been rode hard and put up wet---the M28 is pretty well on its way there.
