Tattoos? Got two!!

Get something that has meaning to you, not just a 'flash" tattoo.
I have a sleeve that has components portraying my hobbies, interests, career, and grandkid's names. It's in an old school style.

My advice: if you want a tattoo, get it in a location that your normal attire will easily conceal it if desired. I see kids today with tattoos on their necks, hands, and even their faces, and I wonder how much they are going to regret that when they are older, and how much of a barrier that will be to them having a professional career in business. It would be an asset in sports or music, apparently!
I totally agree. I have 7 tattoo's and they are all hidden, unless I take my shirt and pants off. :D
My next one is going to be my 1st exposed one. I'm at an age where it really don't matter what others think. I know what kind of person I am, and so does my family and friends. :)

1. Broccoli
2. CTG
3. Teddy Bears
4. Gorrilla
5. An A10 Thunderbolt II:D

My grandson has plans for a full sleeve of Old Glory. That's one I'd go for myself.....

Broccoli!!! Of course! Why didn't I think of that?:D

I always thought a portrait of me would look nice.
Maybe shooting a Triple Lock or Reg Mag.
Might get some weird comments though.
Lemme know, and I'll mail you some 8x10's.
:D:D:D

#4 holding some of #1 riding on #5.

I bet there are some evil looking broccoli pics out there that would make great tattoo's. :D

Hey Mickey D, where is the one with the terrible boating accident?? LOL Nice, by the way.......I'll update with the tattoo as soon as I get it. Might be two more happening if the artwork comes to par and the time permits. It is paramount that the tats have meaning and I've got a few in mind that I'm willing to live with the rest of my life.

I don't have any myself never had a need for one. But I do see some out there that are really works of art and they look really good. If you want one go for it! Pick out something that has meaning to you and get it. Just remember that you can't erase it so be sure it is something that you really want.

This is going to be my next tattoo. My artist and I are working out more details for it. There is going to be flames and skeletal ghost' in it. It's going on my forearm.

Very nice! Pleasant & cheerful!:eek::cool:

I've wanted one for 30 years and am going to pull the trigger. A personal choice obviously, but any opinions on what to get? I've got something in mind, just looking for good ideas. Opinions and pics would be apprecaited. I'm in Alaska and like Harley Davidsons, guns, planes, anything outdoors, etc. Less is more sometimes, but I do like vibrant colors if they fit the pic and are classy instead of trashy and/or cheap. Mom and skulls are out. Ideas??

Look for an GOOD artist and bring your ideas there. Even if you have to drive for a while, it's worth it on the end! Since it's your first tattoo I would recommend to start with a smaller one on a not so sensitive spot. Also, color does hurt a bit more than black ink. Then go from there. But that's just me...

I know, right? :D
My artist is tweaking it a bit. Like the necklace, gone! I'm not a devil worshiper.
He is putting flames in it with some skeletal ghosts' flying around.
This will be my first exposed tattoo so I am kind of nervous, in a way. :)

Yeah, go small. Get the biggest, baddest dragon on your whole back! Oh, and very colorful! :D

Seriously, that is good advice JJEH is giving you.

My tattoos have a important meaning. I lived with my nana and popop when I was born and for several years. My popop passed away and I got a memorial tattoo for him on my back. It's the praying hands with the scroll and "in loving memory of"
For mothers day I got one for my nana to show her, it's a cross (same style as I wear on my necklace) and has the scroll draped across it.

The next is the word FAITH in monotype Corsiva font and is made up of mom, dad and my sisters name. I got to represent always have faith in you'r family.

I'm proud of all of them and no matter anybody else's opinion they mean a lot to me, not so much the tattoo but who and what I got them for. That's what you should put into your decision on what to get
