REAL WORLD EXPERIENCE :
After scratches, dents, bluing loss, I have discovered that the weapons still fire and works fine.
Non-Virgin weapons are more enjoyable that Virgin Safe Queens

One of the first things I did with my pristine 6906 was drop it on the cement floor while standing in front of my work bench. I was opening the zippered bag and it just dropped right out. Why wasn't I over the bench? I don't know. Miracle, I can't find any damage.

The first thing I did to my new car was hit it with the snow blower and put the first and only dent in the car.

The good news is once you get the first ding, scratch, dent out of the way you're protected from any future damage, especially if you did it.
