Trying to understand some dog owners...

You're wasting your time trying to understand people who keep animals, but neglect and abuse them.

Their brains aren't wired like mine and yours are. Words like "empathy" and "humane" are foreign terms to them. My belief is that they can't see beyond their own imagined self-importance.

I have no use for those people. No use at all.

I can see for myself and fully understand how actual "working" dogs are kept. That I can understand. What I can't understand is keeping dogs outside 24/7 when they are obviously NOT working dogs. I've seen this before and lived next to a family that did this. The neighbor actually accused me of attracting rats to the area because I dumped yard waste, branches etc at the back end of the lot. He obviously was not responsible for the problem when he left numerous bones and overflowing dog food dishes with his dogs. When one of his dogs died suddenly, he seemed to think I may have poisoned it. The only thing I would have done if I were able, would be to rescue these dogs from their crappy existence. They howled at night and were never allowed out of their enclosure.

Working dogs I can understand, dogs kept in cages, not so much.

I wouldnt insult people, be calling the jerk in the OPs post--a person. People do not treat furry friends like that.

Neither my wife or I will have a dog in the house, period. We live in Mn so we can not have a dog or it would freeze, or suffer a lot. I suppose we could heat a dog house, but not going to do it.
