Take a look at this and tell me if you think it is N.I.B. and "unfired" $1200 and it is yours Gun Broker # 111049585 He said he has had 2 Gunsmiths look at it and they came to the same conclusion. Before I write this one off, is it unfired, or am I crazy?

P.S. I would bet that neither one of those 'gunsmiths' could say -in the presence of one of us- "unfired" and keep a straight face.
I just had to say that and I'm NOT a gunsmith.

There is no such thing as unfired. Because the factory always test fire them before they leave and they don't clean them either.

I didn't see any pictures. The gun stores I frequent lets potential buyers dry fire display case guns, so sometimes they will have turn lines, but usually not case head impressions around the firing pin area.

It has certainly been HANDLED - and is not as
good looking as some LNIB guns I have seen.

I would not buy it as an investment - but as a shooter it might rate on the higher end of the USED price scale.

If it was un-fired way to much money on it. About a $350 to 400 bucks would be a good price for it.

It is now "near mint and unfired".

I guess that's like being nearly a virgin and unkissed.

Some people are simply dishonest and don't care who knows it. I have a 1955 Browning .380 the *********** who sold it to me via the internet swore was mint.

He rationalized his dishonesty by simply claiming he had a different definition of the word 'mint' from the rest of the world.

With box and tools it's a $650 gun max. Claiming it unfired is laughable. There's probably someone out there that would pay $700 for it but $1200? He either has way too much invested in it or he doesn't understand the market. Could be both...

Not a 1200.00 by any stretch of the imagination.Nice by not that nice.

My sentiments exactly.
