Ah, the perfect market-niche for Taurus. And that is what often stays in my truck - a Taurus PT92 9mm and a bunch of loaded mags.
Going to assume he is NG or Reserve
Im fairly certain even if you live on post(federal installation) your weapons need to be holstered and technically declared at the gate. If his son drives around like he said, then, its a matter of time before he is caught. But NG (nevermind reserve they are federal) units have had some states allow ccw on NG BaseI don't have a dog in this fight, but what about the stated facts makes you assume that which you are assuming? Always like to know if I'm missing some clue . . .
This thread isn't about if you should or shouldn't leave a gun in a vehicle, or to what degree one should be secured if stored.
If your goal is to point out the flaws of a vehicle gun, this thread ain't for you.
I currently have a Charter Arms .357 in a lock box mounted under the seat. But I've been thinking of if I should upgrade to a rifle or shotgun......
So, what's your preference?
Also, a poll!
Guns belong on one's person...not rattling around in one's car.
The OP asked a question re: car guns. I replied guns belong on one's person...not in a car.
I am a RESPONSIBLE GUN OWNER who does not leave any gun(s) unsecured.
You have no idea how many guns I own but do believe me, you would not find any nor get anywhere near them on your best day.
Be safe.
A responsible gun owner is one who secures his/her guns in a manner in which they cannot be stolen or accessed by others. Comprende?
As to how mine are protected, I do wonder WHY you are inquiring. And I absolutely will not tell you.
That said, I have never lost a gun, had one stolen, or had one used by someone else in any manner absent my permission and presence.
Be safe.
