I was recently informed that most concealed handgun carriers go far beyond "Reasonable Preparedness" for a Private Citizen.
The term "Reasonable Preparedness" wasn't defined as the and two thought it was self-explanatory.
So I'm going to throw it out here, what's reasonable preparedness?
I'm not asking what you carry or how many reloads you carry or if you have body armor in the trunk of your car (where it will do you absolutely no good.) ?
I'm asking what "Reasonable Preparedness" in the context of concealed carry means to you.
After saying that I'm not asking what you carry I'm going to tell you what I carry even though I've said it so many times I'm sure everybody knows.
Glock 19 and 2 reloads.
I carry a glock 19 because I'm cheap. I can carry the same gun at work and off the clock for concealed carry. It's also the smallest gun (or it was when I was working) on the approved roster for security guards to carry in Colorado Springs.
I carry two reloads because Masaad Ayoob posted somewhere on this forum (paraphrased) "If cops carry two reloads, you should carry two reloads."
It made sense so I adopted the practice.
I don't think that's unreasonable.
So I guess anybody who carried less than what I do is reasonable but anybody that carrier more than what I do is unreasonable.
And for sure anybody that carries a Taurus is unreasonable
