What is your favorite handgun

That would be my Smith & Wesson manufactured Walther PPK/S.

I'm a big fan of the Walther PP Series in general, it's just a classy-looking piece with a special place in my heart since my grandfather was a big fan of the James Bond films and we had watched them together on occasion.

There is something about nickel on a 3.5" N-Frame

Great input

Thank you all, just like everything else in life there is no easy answer to a single question, I have the number 1 with the gold cup for a few reasons, and its nice to see everyone here has their own stories and likes.

Model 66

Impossible to pick a favorite......but if I think of the gun that can perform multiple tasks, has a great feel in the hand, and is beautiful in form......

My little 66 comes out of the safe quite often. This gun has both "looks" and "personality".

Mine is a plain-Jane Model 10-7 square butt snub. It was my service revolver and now does duty in a nightstand. The most carried is my LCP in warm weather and my 340PD (in a jacket pocket) now that it's getting cooler outside.

The S&W Model 28-2 (6") that my Dad gave me when I got out of the Army. I put a lot of rounds through that revolver while I was in college. Running a close second is the 28-2 (6") that my agency issued to me (and I purchased when the agency converted to the Beretta 92F). I've got other firearms I like but these are the most special to me.

My Ruger MKIII with a few added goodies. My favorite simply because it's a.22, and I shoot it many more rounds annually than all other handguns combined. Approx. total is 15000 + .

I have a 4" and 6" blued standard, a 6" stainless standard and a new standard 4" MKIV. I like my stuff simple and clean looking.

Love is a fickle thing. Today, I am really hooked on a 3" 65-3. But a Model 53 and a HS Supermatic, also tug at my heart. The HS is way more accurate than I will ever be, and it belonged to my uncle. The 53 is almost evil fun, with its big bang and 5 foot fireballs. But when it comes down to it, the 65 is easy to carry, fits my hand, and puts bullets (even the maggies) into tight groups. It has so much "cool" factor. This and the HS would be the "one" gun that I would find a way to keep, no matter what.

, but with autoloaders there's never a doubt - the 1911. I suppose if I had to say, my favorite would be a 1911 setup somewhere between a mil-spec model and a bullseye gun.

That is, by far, the best explanation of exactly how *I* like my 1911's! Not quite 'bone stock', but not a full blown custom either.
