Weekends I do the cooking. The wife and I are still working through the elk I shot in 2023. Boy, it takes a long time for to senior citizens two consume and elk. I think it will be a few more months before it is all consumed. I hope I'm lucky and get a chance to refill the freezer with another elk.
Last Sunday I cooked elk steaks with rehydrated morel mushrooms in red wine sauce. Last night I cooked a small elk eye of round roast with a tart cherry sauce and served in it with a Hasselback potatoes and tossed green salad.
