WHAT'S IN YOUR POCKETS? DAILY EDC STUFF

Everyday, even around the house: Pistol w/ 2 spare mags, Streamlight single AA flashlight which I have found that I use every single day for something & an old original Leatherman multi-tool. If leaving the house, I add the following: Clip-on Gerber spring assisted opening knife, plastic pocket change carrier (I despise loose change rattling in my pocket), wallet with DL/CCW permit, separate retired LE badge & credential wallet with my LEOSA credentials and then car & house keys on separate rings. Depending on where I will be stopping, I will add a small pepper spray. If traveling at night I will add a larger Streamlight ProTac HL-X 1000 Lumen LED flashlight in a clip on belt holster.
I also have a backpack that always goes with me in the vehicle with an IFAK w/ tourniquet extra pistol mags, an old pair of lightweight handcuffs, pair of compact binoculars, another flashlight, Gerber multi-tool, pair of work gloves, pen/pad, misc other little stuff.

I do not have a room in my house without a flashlight in it. Some rooms have more than one and they do get used. Carrying a miniature one just makes sense to me.

In this modern era of crummy switches, my camping pocket dump always has at least 3 flashlights.

It's funny cuz some of the bags we carry contain , handcuffs, duct tape, rope, flashlight, zip ties, gloves, even a hatchet in my case……. These look like every bag the police pull from the bad guys car trunk. My wife and I watch a lot of the crime shows on ID channel and every time it happens she gives me the side eye look. I tell her I also have candles for heat and water to drink. Bad guys don't have that.

Yes, it's a Taurus. Also a cellphone, but I was using it to take the photo, so . . .

Oh, forgot my wallet. It's black. Timberland, I think.

I've thought about this also and kind of chuckled. I think about my former career and imagine having to go through someones car for some reason and opening the backpack that I always carry. I can imagine my former self requesting to have my Sergeant respond to the scene. "Boy you got some splaining to do".
I guess I gotta remember to remove the shovel and bag of lime from the trunk.

The basic stuff I carry routinely: a penknife, cash, wallet, magnifying glass, handkerchief, keys, and a Colt Commander with a DelFatti IWB holster in town.

Wandering in the mountains, I change things: a Colt government model, a spare magazine and a OWB holster by Mitt Sparks or DelFatti.

Lip balm, Bic lighter, Leatherman Juice, AAA flashlight. Wallet. Bandanna. Phone. Apple watch. Ruger LW Commander-style in 9mm and extra magazine.

In my pockets- Ridge wallet, keys to my 4Runner, chapstick, pocket-knife (Benchmade Griptillian or Kershaw SpeedSafe), iPhone and a 1923 Morgan silver dollar. Glock 43 in a kydex Amberide IWB (not a pocket-carrier).

It would be much easier just to tell you it's not in my pockets.

But then everyone would know that we are in fact; "Just happy to see you" which would be rather awkward...

Thread drift. Some years ago I took a much younger woman that I thought I knew fairly well skiing skiing. While rummaging in the console of my truck she found a hank of rope and a couple of hunting knives. She wasn't from around here and came a bit unglued!

In the 1980's at least one of our 4 kids was in diapers, that caused the wife to carry a huge diaper bag. One day at a church outing I started looking for a plastic rain poncho to use as a picnic blanket. I found a folding shovel, duct tape, a M-3 Kabar!, several sizes of rope, 45-70 Ammo, 45 ACP ammo, and 22 LR ammo. Along with cloth diapers, skin lotion, toys, cookies and 4 water bottles. But no poncho! I ask, "Where's the poncho?" Answer: "IN the box with the winter gear, behind the third seat!"

I have got a wonderful wife, her EDC was a Suburban!
