Hemi powered 1970 Plymouth Superbird (135 out of around 1980 cars were made with the Hemi). The Six-Pack 440 would be second choice.

I've had so many. Let's start with the first. '55 Chevy sixty bucks. '57 ford Fairlane $90. "54 Ford four door $15. '56 Olds 88 $120. '63 Mercury Meteor $900. '67 Lemans convertible with the 326 $750. '57 Chevy from the original owner 42,000 miles $200. '62 Caddy Deville $150. Needed a camshaft and the sweetest car I've ever owned. '65 GTO blown motor, put a 327 in it $300. '65 Plymouth Satellite 426 wedge $500.'59 Caddy 62 body $25. Guy broke down in front of my gas station. Replaced the points and down the road it went. Last but not least the only new car I ever bought a '69 GTO convertible. I plum forgot What I paid for that. Only car I ever had payments on.
What I want? Well a '68 Eldorado or Riviera. Us old guys got to ride in style you know.

since i was 15 i had wanted a first gen camaro ,i finally got it at 39 now 6 years later i might trade it for a newer corvette convertible or if we are gonna get crazy dreaming ill take a cobra but its gotta be a big block with sidepipes.

a dream come true ,and i drive much the way i would have when i was a teen

I would like to have a 67 Caprice with 396 or 427. When buying my first car my dad went for a test drive with me in one. Promptly told me NO WAY. I ended up with a Cutlass Supreme. Did not have the get up and go the Caprice had.

No longer on the bucket list. My dad was the original owner of this one back in late 66 when they released them (although its a 67, duh lol). My dad sold this one back when i was younger and he regretted it every day after that. So awhile back i went on a personal mission. A mission to find my dads old 67 Camaro RS. However, i didnt even know if it existed anymore. After a few years of searching i finally had a lead on where it may be. Luckily it was still in the state of Louisiana (crazy but true). Soon after the owner decided he wanted to part with it for he is now up in his age and can no longer safely operate a vehicle. He said he'd be glad to see it go back to the original owner.......Long story short, it came home with me soon afterwards. Now may dad is one heck of a happy camper. If only u guys could have seen my old mans face when he opened up his shop one evening after a hard days work......This is how she still sits today.

When I got married, I owned a 62 Porsche 356B. I had souped up the engine and it would do 140mph. I sold it not long after our marriage. I wish I had kept the car and got rid of the wife that I have now been married to for 39 years.

I now drive a 2011 Subaru Outback that I plan on driving for a long time. It gets great gas mileage and has all wheel drive. It may even handle better than the old Porsche did.

I like the way you think!!! I owned a 1974 SD-455 Trans Am. Admiralty Blue, white seats, black interior trim, rear seat console. Very unusual package per Pontiac folks. SD-455 package was very rare as were rear consoles, and most white seat interiors had black trim.

Re: your dream car, was green available in 1973? In '74 only TA colors available were red, white, and Admiralty Blue. (EDIT: Brewster Green was available in 1973. )

In terms of GTOs, I want a Liberty Blue '69 Judge then any '67. Then a '65. Realistically, I hope to have a regular '68 or '69 someday. Any shade of blue or the common Verdero Green will do just fine.

When I was a kid, a Brewster Green '73 SD-455 Trans Am was my dream car, but now I rather have a '70-'72 T/A in Lucerne Blue with the white stripe. I just love that color scheme. Then I'll take a '69 T/A.

Then give me a '65 Catalina, 2+2 preferred! Then a '62 Catalina!

I could go on and on. The blue '70-'72 T/A is my #1 desire, but $$$-wise, I doubt that will ever happen.

A '74 in blue would be nice! I have a friend with a '74 SD. Blue replaced green going from '73 to '74. (Trans Ams only - I don't know the other FB colors for those years)

I had a 1973 455SD Pontiac Trans Am; the first in a long line of T/As for me. It was white with the screaming chicken on the hood. Boy it was a fun car, can we say toque.

My brother, not to be out done, bought a Maroon 73 455SD Firebird Formula. I sold my TA in the early 80s for about what I paid for it new (prices for new T/As had tripled by then). My older, and wiser, brother still has and drives his 73 455SD Formula.

I guess my bucket list would be a 1969 Pontiac Trans Am convertible or for about the same money a pair of Ford GTs.

I'm currently casting about for a "bucket list dream car;" it's been so long since I had time & energy to deal with more than the day-to-day gettin' by that I was shocked recently to realize that I'm seriously lacking on medium- to long-term goals/dreams/bucket-list desires. To echo another thread, I've been living tactically for the last couple years, with no time for strategery.

I need to fix that.

Previous bucket-list goals achieved automotively:

"First car": Check; '70 Ford LTD 2-door, 390, Black vinyl over white - dad's hand-me-down road car. A girlfriend killed it in a wreck.

"First engine swap": Check; '73 Plymouth Satellite, 318 out, 383 Super Commando from a wrecked '70 'Cuda in. Smog laws forced it to the junkyard when I moved to Cali.


"First Bought-it-Myself Car":
"First Sure 'Nough Sports Car":
"First End-to-end Resto-Mod":
"First Car-Show Win:"
Check all above, my '80 Mazda RX-7 GS, in Tornado Silver. Had it 24 years now.

"First 'Dream Car' & First Showroom-New Car:" Check; 2003 Nissan 350Z Touring, in Brickyard with Black Leather. My daily joy, 140k miles and still a boot in the heiny every time I fire it up.

An article I read years ago on the subject of Pontiac calling the LeMans (with the 289 engine installed) a GTO, suggested Ferrari never made enough to have theirs homologated. I always felt that regarding Pontiac, GTO stood for gas, tires, and oil. BTW, I can recall several eurocar snobs looking down their noses at the Corvette. No one does that any longer.

I had to buy a new car last December. One of the cars I tested was a 2005 GTO. Geeze, I never drove anything that had a clutch that stiff!

I was able to drive a Ferrari 540 in Philadelphia recently. Man, that whole car shook.

At some point I would like to have an older Ferrari. A 328, a 348 or maybe a 355. These can be found at decent prices with low mileages as most are not used as everyday drivers.
Of course with the car also come high maintenance and insurance costs, and it's not a car you want to take to Jiffy Lube for an oil change
