It's darker than the inside of a cow. (Old family saying)

This one reminded me of something a skilled trades guy told me at Buick about a, HUGE, vaccum system intalled to help keep debris out of the process during the main bearing(s) install job (3800 V6.)

When I seen the size of the "cannister," which was at least 15' tall and the diameter of a pickup truck, I mentioned that I had never seen a vaccum that big before.

After I made the "size comment" this skilled tradesman said, in a matter of fact way as if he had said it many times before, "Yep, it'll suck a cow inside out."

That sure sheds a little light on how dark the inside of a cow might be. ;)

It's darker than the inside of a cow. (Old family saying)

Growin up on a N TX dirt farm, I've heard my dear ole Pappy say that more than once... and on nights when I had to trek down through the pasture to tie down the windmill brake I can well attest to that kind of darkness!

Wish in one hand and spit in the other and see which one fills up first -

Usually I see spit spelled another way.

The last thing I want to do is hurt you. But it's still on my list.

Since light travels faster than sound, some people appear bright until you hear them speak.

We never really grow up, we only learn how to act in public.

From the best boss I ever had:
I complained to him that every time I did something wrong, he was all over my case about it, but when I did things right, he never mentioned it:
His reply?
G#$%&**%@! We pay you to do it right!!
I've never forgotten it and try to use it as a guide for life:
