To select the icons:
Click "User CP" in the navigation bar at top left (first pic)
Then Click "Edit Your Details" from the menu on left (first pic)
Scroll down to the icons (second pic) and choose appropriate level.
Go to bottom of page and click "Save Changes"

While you're there, select other icons that apply to you like Vets and First Responders.
Please do not select SWCA and SWHF icons if you are NOT a registered member.

If you are not an NRA member, please consider joining.
There are 85-100 million gun owners in the US, and only 4.3 million NRA members. "They" are going to say that MOST gunowners do NOT care if more serious restrictions are put on guns!
If you are not counted WITH us, "they" are going to count YOU as being against us.
We are in the toughest fight of all time to protect the 2nd. They are coming after ALL guns eventually, so don't think for a minute that you are OK because you don't like black rifles or 30 rd mags. If ALL of the ARs and AKs and 30re mags disappeared tomorrow, "they" would start on the next level.
Your deer rifle would be labeled a "deadly, high-powered sniper rifle".
Your bird gun will become a "deadly 'automatic' shotgun that can be sawed off in 5 minutes and spray hundreds of horrific buck shot".
'"They" will want revolvers because a sack of speedloaders could make them WMDs.

Since there is nothing like competition go get things accomplished so what do you think about the gun forums challenging each other in a race to get more of their membrs go join the NRA. Also some type of event to raise cash for the NRA-ILA. Maybe a special icon for $5. Just doing a little brain storming here.

They are the biggest Liberal,anti-gun advocate, "O" (donkey) kissing,online news site. Their members do nothing but bash the NRA and call its members "children killers."
I just posted it so members here could see what the others think about the NRA. It really pi***s me off with some of the rhetoric BS they spew!
 
I made a suggestion at Christmas and I will make it again. If you have a friend or relative who is not a member, give them a membership. I have a degree in political science and I have studied politics for a very long time. I can assure you there is no lobby group the gungrabbers and liberals fear more than the NRA. If you watch the libs on tv, they really hate and fear the NRA. Every new member we get makes them fear us that much more.

Remember, dont just limit the membership to yourself.

Encourage your wife to join as well!! (assuming she shares your passion for the right to bear arms :rolleyes:)

If she doesnt.................do anyway! :D
 
I was going to reply here about 30 minutes ago, but I had some things to take care of first.
1. I'm already a Patron Member of the NRA.
2. Made my membership in the SAF to life.
3. Made my membership in the CCRKBA to life.
4. I will make my membership in the JPFO (and I'm not Jewish) life when it is due in Dec., along with the Second Amendment Sisters.
5. GOA only does yearly memberships and I'm off to do that now.
I'm not bragging here, just doing all I can to thwart these attacks on us. Please do what you can, because the attacks will NEVER, EVER stop.

I stand corrected on the GOA. They do life memberships and I just got off the phone completing one.

Instead on up grading my membership, I used the money to buy my wife a five year membership. Strength in numbers. :)
 
Captain Obvious here...

I just paid for a year for her so that's two in the Maximumbob house.

I can't believe I didn't think to do this before. (duh)
 
i am a long time NRA member however...thanks to mike (ladder13) i upgraded today...i'm a lifer!additionally mike was my sponser to the SWCA....!
lets just say....uhhhhh...the guy i spoke to at NRA HQ was entirely familar with mike LOL..!!!
way to go mike!!
 
Been a member since 1968 and a life member since 1994. My wife is a member and I am sending a membership for my grandson and great
grandson no later than tomorrow. I am working on two of my best friends whose wives hate firearms. Don't know if I will ever get them joined. One asked me the other day about a gun for home protection and I told him to get a shotgun. There was some other things that I would have liked to said but you don't talk about other peoples wives and being henpecked.
 
Life member and been rocking my colors since I've been on the site
