Good morning drifters. It's 68 degrees in the desert this morning with clouds and a possibility of rain today. Of course they have been saying this for a couple of days now with nothing but maybe they will be right today. Surely the weatherman/woman/person can't be wrong all the time.
So there are more whisky barrels than people in Kentucky, well at least they have their priority's right.

Good Saturday Morning!
Glad to see BigCityChief is having a good time!
I haven't felt like posting in a few days. Still having hip pain issues. My pretty lady quack has me set up for a MRI Monday. She Wrote me real strong pain pills and I asked her what they cured? Pissed her off! She said to help with the pain? No Bull Manure!!! I want to cure/fix the issue not mask it!! I didn't even stop at the front desk to get my script!
So going to just lay around today and stay off my hip/leg/back or what ever and enjoy the rainy day. Watch some TV and catch up on 3-4 days of the drift.
That's about all that's going on in my GOOFY Little World!

OK, story time!
Back in the late 70's my black cocker spaniel, Oreo, and I were on a pier at Avila Beach, CA. The pier was about 20' or so above the water. Oreo and I were watching people fish.
He was also checking out bait buckets, and buckets that had their catch in them. I was looking at something
when he yelped! I looked down and he had a small octopus wrapped around his nose and head! He was shaking his head and jumping around in circles! I grabbed him, the octopus let go, and slithered over to a gap in the pier boards. I checked Oreo, and he had a nip on his nose, but wasn't really hurt. Just sort of wild eyed.The fisherman who had the octopus in his bucket, was laughing! I went and bought him a beer, and he shared it with Oreo. Said the incident made his day, mine to !

BTW. I went tag saleing.
Didn't find any ponies. 'Cept for one that was suspended on four springs.
I remember the springy-horsey we had when I was a kid.
His name was Rusty. He was tricked out in Western tack.
He kinda looked like Trigger. Boy, did I wanna be a cowgirl.
Heyyyyyy. Mebee that's what my next career should be.

I'm the only Rusty I know that's not an Irish Setter.
I have three friends named Rusty in my contact list on my phone. Of course, I have difficulty distinguishing between my real friends and imaginary "colleagues." None, however, are Irish Setters.
