Busy day today with the Motorhome . We have it at the campground all set up and ready to relax for the weekend.;) Never did figure out why the fridge wouldn't run of that garage GFI? We have been doing this like this for several years now and now all of a sudden it don't want to work? Go figure? I even changed the recepticle. It could be the extension cord? Won't have to worry about that again until the fall! ;)
Everything is working just like it should!
So my fellow drifters,,,,thats a wrap! Goodnight all and drift away,,,,Oh and there are no wandering hordes up here, I'm in the clear! and I saw a sign along the road that said...Bear Left! :D

Good evening drifters. It's 77 and really nice in the desert this evening. I've noticed all the weather in the mid-west, you folks be safe and careful out there. We don't get much in the way of funnel clouds out here but we do get some high winds and dust storms. Anyway take care, we don't want to lose any drifters to the weather or any thing else as far as that goes.

No hordes seen today in the desert. I don't think training emus to be predatory is a good idea either. They're already big and ugly and making them predatory doesn't seem like a good idea. If they had hands maybe we could teach them music and they might mellow out and forget all about us. Or maybe the emu whisperer could convince them they could swim and then they would all drown.

Good morning all. The storms have been staying north of my Houston location. Many of the areas that have been hit in hard in south Central Texas are my old hunting grounds and I still have friends there.

I just heard a forecast that puts a severe storm in my area in 45 minutes. I think I'll wait and watch before heading out for a walk that usually last 1 1/2 to 2 hours. I do not mind being rained on, but I respect lightning. I love it the weather guy just said the storm will be in the Galleria (my area) at 5:21. I'll keep an eye on the clock.

I have a lot of things to do today and tomorrow, but they may just have to wait. They will not get done if I get struck by lighting or drown either. Each of you have a great day!

I'm glad I paid attention to the weather guy. Thunder is starting to rumble outside and I hear rain. While I wait for it to clear so I can walk, here is today's installment from the USS Yolo off the invasion beaches of Okinawa.

May 27, 1945

No GQ last night but beginning at 0700 a flash red was set. Yolo paid little attention because the crew continued to load fresh provisions during the day. For lunch the cooks served turkey. It was welcomed by all hands. The reprovisioning got us a good meal! This afternoon I edited the supply report. Davis had gathered the data and organized it in a rough first draft. The finished product must be sent through channels to the admiral. Word `came today through our vast network of information sources that the British TF 57 was withdrawn on 25 May from the Sakishimas for operations elsewhere. Admiral Durgin's jeep carriers will take over the neutralization until land based air can handle the situation.

Bad weather continues but the wind diminished. By nightfall the weather cleared and the call to GQ came early. It was picket station 5, bearing 43 miles due east of Yolo that was attacked. The two duty destroyers there were crashed by kamikazes. Braine (DD 630) suffered heavy losses, Anthony (DD 515) was fortunate; she escaped with a near miss. Some 25 raids con¬sisting of 50 planes attacked. By 2400 the last of the raids disappeared but we remained at battle stations.

I am up and going due to the weather rocking me out of bed with thunder and lightning moving through the area. Man we have been having some weather this spring! Almost 17 inches of rain in the area around Texas A&M. Had record floods last year that killed 2 dozen over Memorial Day weekend according to news.

I do hope in this case vonn, history does not repeat itself.
Up here in the Constipation state, we could use some rain.
We're still running a deficit from last year.
I have to pay for water, and the garden's a thirsty creature,
so anything coming from Ma Nature is much appreciated.

Good morning fellllllow drifters! Looks like it's going to be a great day here in Camp Sitonyourassis! :D Suppose to be great weather this weekend with some possible pop up thunderstorms?, but those are slim possibilities for now! ;) Nice and sunny right now with a temp of 66 degrees.
Nothing like waking up to the sound of the Honey Dipper truck running down your quiet wooded street, and to here that muck churning pump running! :) Hey but it's way far a lot quieter here then at home!, I can actually here the other voices in my head fighting with one another! :D
Well I guess the first item of agenda this morning will be ,,,,coffffeeeee, then a cruise around the campground in the golf cart, then wash the golf cart. Later outdoor activities will be to rinse down the newly dropped quarry stone from remaining quarry dust, place the camping mat down and set up the chairs for the wife!
We should have this accomplished maybe by lunch, have lunch and proceed to take in the afternoon golf tournament with a nap!
Life at Camp Sitonyourassis is good! ;)
