Starting in 2022, we old farts collecting Social Security get a 5.9% raise to our monthly SS allotment. I just don't know what I'm gonna do with that extra $106 a month!

Get my first check in 2 weeks, my wife in 6 weeks. Then we get a raise in January!

I thought about getting some name brand beer and moving to the right in the meat aisle and actually picking out a real honest to God Rib eye! (To put on lay away)
I have a Model 10 shooter-grade. Now I can buy a box of bullits!
You might be able to fill up the tank, if you have a motorcycle or Yugo.

The first thing you have to do with that $106 is deduct $9 to pay for the raise in our Medicare monthly premium!!

Dang that raise! I'm not even on Medicare yet (March 22), and It's gone already! Cancel that rib-eye, gimme the eye of round, cancel the Bud Light and gimme Natty Light, and, well, I always could use more ammo!!!

Just the price increase in gasoline will eat that and then some.
Just in time for me to retire, put my 6 month notice in a couple weeks ago. In December can apply for SS, January I apply for my pension. I will save a bundle in April by not going to work and burning all that gas.

Don't worry, inflation will be 8% or more next year.
Why wait until next year, it's here now.
Maybe if you take out everything you need to live like food and necessities it's not according to them,it's fine.

Based on your location, I have two words for you: Heating bill. The prediction so far is 50% higher than last year, but I think that prediction is overly optimistic. I'm waiting for the TV commercials for Medicare mobility scooters with log splitters mounted on the back.

Have they announced how much the medicare increase will be yet? Most years that comes after the COLA announcement and most years it eats up most of the social security increase.
I remember a couple years ago my net was $1/month after the medicare deduction.
you can use it to help pay for the rising gas prices, home heating, and electricity.
I'll see if I can buy an extra S&W next year before the prices go any higher...Oops, too late, they already did......Ben
