Agreed!
Never own or never buy? I have a few that were given to me that I would never spend a dime on but I guess I own them because they're in my safe.
Never own. Probably nothing that I can think of unless it was restricted by law.
The OP doesn't specify I'd have to pay for "whatever" gun. I have several I would not, necessarily, have purchased but I'm glad to count them in them in the inventory and are thankful for the gift. I have gifted Browning BLR built in 1980 I never would have purchased but truly admire.
Glock and Taurus sure are taking a beating here!
I bought a police trade-in Glock 37 (.45 GAP) several years ago and got it on the cheap. I handload, have lots of GAP brass, and find the cartridge intriguing. The 37 has been 100% reliable and is plenty accurate. Fun gun IMHO. It's my only Glock, and likely will stay that way, but I'm glad to have it and it changed many of my pre-conceived notions about these Austrian wonders.
At the risk of being drummed out of the forum I admit to having two Taurus brand firearms. Both are nicely made, reliable, and fun. If you don't own a TX .22LR in my opinion you're missing one of the best, if not the best, semi-auto .22 LR on the market
for the money. I have lots of .22 semi-auto pistols that were all more expensive than the TX and it's as good, generally better, than any of them.
And there's a Taurus Tracker five-shot .44 Mag in the rotation too. The Tracker is neither cheap nor inexpensive. About as ideal a fly-fishing rig in bear country as one could imagine; accurate and handy.
Don't care much for Kalashnikov stuff, anything Chinese, or Nazi proof marks. I can see poo-pooing individual models but can only come up with a small handful of manufacturers I'd discount entirely. Especially if I wasn't paying for them!
